Get answers to common questions about Face Waxing (Upper Lip, Chin, Sideburns).

Most clients feel brief discomfort during treatment; technicians use fast, professional techniques to minimize pain. Numbing creams are available and regular waxing often becomes less uncomfortable as hair thins. We focus on comfort and soothing aftercare.

Arrive with skin clean and free of oils or makeup. Hair should be about 1/4 inch long for effective removal. Avoid chemical peels, retinoids, and sunburn for a week prior to reduce irritation and ensure safe waxing.

Most clients return every 3 to 6 weeks depending on personal hair growth. Regular waxing can weaken follicles over time and may extend intervals. Book based on regrowth patterns and desired smoothness for consistent results.

Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply cooling aloe or post-wax lotion and gently exfoliate after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Keep the area clean and avoid harsh products immediately after waxing.

Avoid waxing with active acne, open wounds, sunburn, recent chemical peels, or while on isotretinoin. Always inform your technician about medications, skin conditions, or pregnancy so we can recommend safe alternatives if needed.

Waxing removes hair from the root and can weaken follicles, often producing finer regrowth over time. It isn't permanent, but consistent waxing may reduce density and slow growth. For permanent reduction, consider consulting about laser options.
